Rolling on the floor laughing I'm still learning...and I still need to learn to slow down and do things right. I have seen some horrible projects due to sloppy speed. A few of those were mine *Blush* and I don't want my dollhouse to look sloppy. I used that glue gun for the outer walls and then sanded glue globs for hours Grumbling Just glad I bout a smaller, cheaper kit for practicing on LOL

Hi Mini! Welcome to our cubit!

I had never heard of the zap a gap before, so googled it http://www.amazon.com/Zap-A-Gap-Adhesive-4-oz-Thick/dp/B000F... Is it like really thick krazy glue?

Matte Modge Podge-I use it for wallpaper paste and have also used it to seal paper floors so that the floor looks like linoleum.

Cutters-I'm not sure what they are called exactly but hobby builder's supply is now carrying them. It is a cutter instrument that is hand held and allows you to cut wood as various angles which has been such a life saver for wood trim. I'll try to find and post a link. I bought mine from a mini show years ago.

A cordless Dremel. I have all sorts of attachments for mine so that I can use it for drilling and and sanding and cutting. I used it to even cut the holes out of my dollhouse for windows. http://www.dremel.com/

MiniMama, are you building your house from a kit or from scratch?

I have Modge Podge here, I never thought of using it for the wall paper! LOL! I am headed to the craft store today. They have nothing for dollhouses Grumbling but I wanted to see if they carried the zap-a-gap glue there.

My house came as a prebuilt shell. It is the 3/4 cabinet grade plywood-the thick walls.

It was a Christmas present from Santa when I was 10. I've looked through tons of photos of dollhouses and my best guess is that is is a RGT or was built by the mini shop that closed later. I know that is where "Santa" got it from.

Hi, don't know if anybody is still watching this. My favorite tools are Zap a Gap glue (super glue), a slanted chisel, jeweler's magnifiers, and my sanding table which is where I am most of the time.

I like beautiful beads and stones. I can use them to make some jewelry.
