I like this picture - even though I am not fond of spiders. This web is against the screen of my pool cage. On the right is the shadow against one of the beams.
Who knows what kind of spider this is?

Hi Hetty,

I can't tell her colors from the pic but it looks like an Argiope aurantia - Yellow Garden Spider- Not Poisonous. They build great looking webs and are a lot of fun to watch. Here is one I was watching last year.

Thank you! I have read up on this spider and it is quite fascinating what they do, even though I am not RRRREALLY a spider person.
Since he or she is inside my lanai I will ask my DH to relocate it.
There was no yellow on its body that I could discern, by the way, but maybe it's still young?
