Thanks, Joanne! Petunias are my favorite annual, and yours are beautiful!
I was just playing with our new site last night, trying to figure it out. I will add more forums and post some pics this week-end, when I have more time to play.

Nice picture Jon. Hula-Hoop? Still haven't seen those seeds available in Canada. Not that I need any more petunia seeds and varieties. Most of my seeds have arrived and now I need to sort them by start date. Have lots for mid -February to start.

Thanks Joanne. I saw your petunia seed list. You definitely have plenty to do. To be honest with you, I'm not so sure these petunias are the "Hula Hoop" series now. American Farms, in Naples, FL, is the grower of these petunias. Their website, early in the season, reflected these to be "Hula Hoop" petunias. When I went back to their website, last week, to look up the pansies/violas they grew this winter I went back to their petunia listings. They had changed the listing of these petunias to the "Frost Series" of petunias (Frost Velvet, Frost Red, Frost Blue). It's hard to tell the difference in the two Series because they look identical to me. Perhaps, when I first checked in November, they still had their plant availability list for 2008/09 listed and have since updated it to their 2009/10 listing. I didn't see many changes in what they're growing THIS winter, but this apparently is one of them. I'll have to post this on Dave's Garden.

Great picture Theresa! LOL I had guessed you would have a picture of you & your violin in your garden. I see that your magic garden fairy dust works on monster tropicals too. You may have share some of that fairy dust. That plant is HUGE!!!

Jon, I may have already said this but I love your Hula-hoop/Frost petunias! I'm hoping to grow the cherry frost this year. Just waiting for something to go through before I place my order. The wait is killing me!

By the way, it nice to see you here too Joanne!

Thanks Steven. I love them also..whatever they are. Most likely the "Frost Series". Had a bare spot in the area that seems to be filling in now after a pruning.

My favorite petunia of last year was Supertunia Raspberry blast. But form the looks of the new Picasso ones they may be just as spectacular!

I agree. I put a plug order in with Garden Retreat and both were on my list. I can't wait until I start seeding the wave petunias. One of my most favorite plants. I already have over 100 pre-orders, which is awesome cause I need some way to pay for all those seeds I ordered.

Has anyone grown the Sophistica Lime Bicolour? I'm thinking of planting it with the Emerald Falls Dichondra and another plant which I haven't decided on yet.

I tried sewing 2 separate seed packs of Sophistica Lime Bicolor this past fall and had 0% germination. I hope y'all get better germination results. No problems with Sophistica Antique seeds though. They germinated.

It was Summer Hill Seeds. I don't think it was anything I did because I usually have no issues with getting petunia seeds to germinate and don't typically have germination issues with seeds purchased from them. Hope you get better results.
