I just got off the phone with Kaiser Permanente (yep, the HMO) and while I am waiting to leave a message for someone the MUSIC playing was Xtian Music... I can't believe it!!! I called them and asked the telephone answerer IF it is the policy to play Xtian music on the hold button and I was assured it is NOT. But she wouldn't check it out.

Have you tried trying to go up the chain of command? At least it makes it a bigger complaint if you can manage to get to people w/more power. And then, of course, there's always letter writing...
I have little confidence in any enterprise or business or investment that promises dividends only after the death of the stockholders.
Sigh, I always wanted to complain about the noise from the stupid fake bells on the church close to where I used to live. Sunday mornings were a trial.........
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.
These religious fanatics have no empathy for anyone.
Which makes them mega hypocrites.
Whatever happened to the idea that we were to love and help our fellow human beings?
It certainly is not demonstrated by current religious fanatics.

Major difference in xtians and christians in my book. Some christians really do walk the walk and talk the talk and I have to admire them for it...but they are few and far between....
Yes. We have friends who are very devout 7th Day Adventists, but they don't try to cram their religion down your throat and they live their lives according to their religious precepts. They will occasionally deviate from the stricture against working on their sabbath if it involves someone's well being (including that of their animals). They are kind and generous and some of the nicest people I know.....and would probably still be the same if they were muslim or jewish or sun worshippers....or maybe even catholic!

I find myself wanting to describe these wonderful attributes as christian "Oh he is so nice...so considerate...so christian" . But today that can mean a whole lot of things: Burning Querans, Protesting at Funerals, letting their children die without medical treatment.... somehow the words of the prophet have less meaning.
So...why don't I want to assign the world 'atheist' to these wonderful atributes? Gotta find another worth...an a-theist word to describe the passionate gifts....
