I wanted to give you a birthday present of words but just could not write a poem that would truly cover what high regard I have for you. So instead, I will share one of my all-time favorites. My daughter hand-lettered this and framed it for me. When I was in practice, it hung on my office wall for over thirty years as a daily reminder to Dare Greatly.

I did a bit of research on your name, just for fun. Here is what I found:
o As a girl's name, Sharon is quite new and was unknown before the 20th century.
o However, the word itself is very old and can even be found in the Old Testament of the Bible.
o In Hebrew, Sharon can mean both “princess” and “fertile plain.”
o In horticulture, we have a Rose of Sharon. (That lovely blossom over your couch—could it be a Rose of Sharon?)
