I don't know who has heard and who hasn't, but I wanted to make sure everyone knows that our dear friend Donna, aka SoCal, is on life support in the hospital. She has been through so many courses of chemo and fought like the dickens, but there is nothing more the docs can do now. Her DH, Jerry, has been so kind, telling several of her friends what was going on. She is surrounded by people who care for her and she knows that we are all thinking of her. Jerry decided her friends from DG and here should know, too.
In January, wcgypsy, weegy, TwinLakesChef, Donna's sister, Sue (you might have seen her wonderful art work) and yours truly had a lunch party and Donna's house. Here we are, trying on her hats. What a motley crew - Donna looks the best! I can tell you it was a great day, with a lot of laughter (and food!). The next time I spoke with her, she said it was so much fun and she was looking forward to the next one. This is how I will think of her from now on.
Thank you, K....though if I'd known you were going to post that pic, I would have asked you to do a little photoshop work on 'part' of it. We might add that this morning Dave sent a wonderful e-mail to Donna to let her know that he and Trish are thinking of her also
Thank you Kathleen....I spoke to Donna a few weeks ago....she was in good spirits. Her sister was with her that day. I keep her in my prayers. You girls look so cute in the hats....and I know all of you had a great day. Love & Hugs to Donna and all of you!!
Well, I thought I had bought the only copy of that photo and buried it in a vault..lol....but it really should see the light of day because Donna did look really good and had a wonderful day. She 'modeled' all of her hats for us. We thought of doing one of the 'bare-it-all' calendars, but decided to settle for the hats since we didn't have enough there to do all 12 months...
Perhaps if you'd been there, Jo, we might have done '7' months though...lol..

Kathleen and Sherry, yes that was a great day and we had a very good time. Donna looks so happy in these photos.

Oh yeah...that's such a great photo. I think I had all of the pics from that day and they were on my hotmail account that got hacked and I lost everything. That really is such a beautiful pic. Have you sent those to Jerry, or did Donna have them already perhaps?
