I am a coleus nut so my containers get those. I love to preplan each of my dozen or so duering the winter.

Here's a coleus container I did today. Mixed in a little Neirembergia (white) on the sides and a touch of cuban oregano in the front.

I don't know Jo Ann - When you buy them at the Garden center they're marked "coleus". I wish they would name the variety. This one is ruffly and pretty though! Have you started planting your Coleus yet? I know you have some beauties!

Its a nice one in any case. No coleus outside yet Nights are freezing here.I am so over loaded with the cuttings and plants in my livingroom. I have to contort myself to use the remote for the TV.
I put 5 plants outside when the days were in the 80's a week ago.Right away the temps cooled down and nights were freezing.
This is what happens to coleus in those conditions.

You've definitely had some strange weather haven't you? Sounds like "Tease and freeze"! Just ridiculous! Isn't May 24th the date that most agree it's safe to plant up there?
