Here's several reasons why this "Container Freak" loves gardening in planters. For the impatient Souls amongst us, including myself…I don’t know of too many gardening projects that can provide such “instant gratification”.

Kat,
You've done a great job explaining the benefits of container gardening. I've always loved gardening in containers. The weedlessness (well almost) is one of the best perks. I've got pond forms for containers for my veggies now and love that I don't have to try and get things to grow in the clay soil anymore. It's all great soil and this type of gardening works very well for me.
Thanks for a great read! Your garden is gorgeous. As always!
Thanks Janet! You know that is one thing I didn't mention in that article - Bad Soil! DUH! That's my primary reason I container garden! Thanks for pointing that out!

Wow! Very beautifully put together and making everthing hamonize with it's fellow pot-mates. Thanks!
Janet, thank you the idea of using a pond form, I've had one out-of-use for a couple years; this year it'll grow tomatoes.

Glad to have helped Jo. Here is an article I wrote about that on DG. The Lazy Gardener's Vegetable Pond I have to tell you that I really enjoyed being able to go out and pluck eggplant to have for my dinner.
Your containers never cease to amaze me! The variety of plant materials, the use of so many magnificent containers and the artistic way they are placed creates an amazing feast for the eyes. It looks like a paradise and avoids the cluttered look I usually feel when looking at a containerized garden.
And on top of all that there is whimsy and fun...I do admit to more than a little green eyed monster envy...

I knew that black container up there was going tobe a show stopper. i am not disappointed one bit. It is beautiful as all your containers are.
Way to go!, girl, way to go!!!!
Beautiful
Oh Kat, bring the lysol. I wish I had you here. I bought some succulents at Home Depot (see the sedum chat thread) and now I have to figure out how to pot them.
