First it was the Muslims, then the gays, then women's equal rights, then women's rights to equal insurance benefits, then the 47% of the population too lazy to work. All legitimate items for attack by the Republicans. All are capable of defending themselves at the voting booth. Now Romney has the audacity to attack a helpless bird on the grounds the bird is too expensive to maintain. Big Bird cannot vote to keep an idiot out of office because he cannot obtain a government issued id card. We have seen a new low in politics and, after Rush's statements concerning paying for a single woman's birth control if she would let him watch her having sex, that is really saying something.

The question is who would you rather have in your living room, an idiot politician or a big dancing bird?

THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN for the better or worse. Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh can crawl back into their respective holes and continue biting their own tails. They were the primary reasons Romney was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

NO..I think it is going to take a more "forceful" method...like a plunger...or a backhoe...and a secluded piece of property to plant them in.

I have been amazed as to how any reasonably thinking person could even listen to those two let alone place any stock in what they have to say. Reminds me of one of the Fox News heroes, Dick Morris, who as a Clinton confidant, was supposedly laying on a penthouse deck sucking the toes of a street whore while letting her eavesdrop on the President. Now he is a big deal on Fox. I will try to recheck that story since it has been several years ago.

My memory appears to be good even though I turn 72 at midnight tonight.

We are not old, just seasoned. I still feel young but my head writes a lot of checks my body can't cash.

"my head writes a lot of checks my body can't cash" is so true...but I don't think you have to be a senior geriatric for that to be the case.

Wishing you a great Birthday celebration.

My wife and I went to Red Lobster yesterday and had our celebration meal. Crab legs, shrimp stuffed with crab cake, and some kind of pasta with shredded crab meat added. We try to hit Red Lobster every couple of months. The nearest one is about 60 miles away so it is not a place one would want to travel to often just for a meal. Kind of breaks the monotony of the more local restaurants.

I know what you mean...our Red Lobster is about the same distance from us and we manage it once a year...its the only time I can get certain foods that I like.
