T’is oft difficult to typify a good snort. There are disdainful snorts and giggle snorts; gasp snorts and snuffle snorts, to name but a few. Some are made by drawing air in (inny) and some are made by blowing air out (outie). To type "(snort)" does not truly capture the gist of the snort so the brilliant TX peoples have solved this serious dilemma with a word for their snorts which (as I understand it) involves alot of air going all about which leads to a song too.

Add note: It is never a good idea to practise ANY outtie snorts and ESPECIALLY a Texas innoutie whist at your computer or bathroom mirror. In addition, practise of any type of snort should always be avoided during beverage consumption.

Hilarious!

I did not know for many years, that there IS a term for that thing that people do on comedy shows, when someone shocks them as they take a sip, and spray it out? Called a spit take. Marlo Thomas demonstrated on a talk show some years ago that I saw.
