NATURAL GAS/COAL/SHALE/GEOTHERMAL

ImageMining of shale, coal, natural gas and geothermal sources have been active for a long time. These resources are regional and are a secondary support for fuels. There has been much coverage of the value of a \"clean burning gas\" such as natural gas from shale. Some say the greenhouse footprint of mining natural gas from shale would greatly neutralize the benefits of a \"clean burning fuel\". Fracking is a method used to extract the gases and can greatly damage a site with great impact on nearby life, wildlife and environment should an accident occur. There lots to learn about development and reliance on these mined resources.
