Your storefront is so nice Chris. I'm inspired by the bright, cheerful colors and the bugs, well, these are the cutest things. you have very nice control. i love the effect of 3-dimensionallism you were able to get with the spider. He looks as though he is one of those glass globes that are blown. Stunning effect! You should be proud Hurray!

I have a (real) big, green spider that yours reminds me of outside living in my Meyer's lemon. She is such a cool arachnid. Every time I see her now I think of Jethro. Thumbs up

This morning it actually made it down to 63 degrees (right now) I think my spiders stay out all year, because we only get one or two very light frosts a year. They must go into the mulch or something, because as soon as the sun warms the air, they're back doing their good spiderly business of eating those bad insects. I love my spiders.
Gino's scared of them and I have to come and get them away from 'his area', lol.
But I give him this: I absolutely hate the palmetto bugs...they are so big that 4 or 5 of them could pick up your bed and haul you out with it,,,He kills them for me. I'm not so much afraid of them, as having an aversion to the many diseases they carry. Just seeing one on a Pest control commercial makes my skin crawl. Sticking tongue out

We have 23 degrees this morning - brrrrrr. Our spiders are long gone, as is pretty much everything else. I'll have to google palmetto bugs since I don't know what they look like. But they sure sound disgusting!

My DH is not a spider lover either Whistling

Lynn, spiders are very good and helpful arachnids to man. :) But I understand your fear.
My favorite green one just hatched her babies today. there are hundreds of them crawling on my Meyer's lemon. Yeah!!! They'll get rid of all the harmful insects for me, a 'no chemical pest control service' at my fingertips! :)
Chris, palmettos are the nastiest, biggest cockroach you've ever seen. And they fly.
My first encounter with one was at 18. Gino and i were laying in bed, watching TV. We had the lights off. I have platnium blonde hair, so i don't know if that's what attracted the thing to me in the dark, but one flew into my hair. It got entangled with it's 1 1/2 inch legs.
You can guess the rest. I thought I was going to die of a heart attack right then and there.

yep, yep, yep, I know they're good, I don't kill them unless there's a red hourglass, trust me.

And I so did not need to see pics of that, gosh I hate cockroaches. I've got to say though, we have 'em 3x that size here, that one couldn't even compete.

Lynxx, now that is totally gross! I'd freak out if one got stuck in my hair too. And thanks for the picture, I think.

And Lynn, yours are even bigger?? Too nasty! Thumbs down I'm sure we have cockroaches around here but I've never seen one. And would like to keep it that way.

In IN, we had teeny tiny ones, was quite a shock to take a trip to Mexico in HS and see the giant ones there, everywhere, on walls in restaurants even.

I remember when Gino and I lived in Vegas, they had the same palmettos we see here in Florida. I wonder if that's your bug too? We saw them especially at night, crawling along the lit sidewalks. It really could spoil an otherwise nice walk.
