Just to say Hello to you all I have just joined Cubits I am from the uk South of england Kent in fact. My plants are being put out this very morning Cosmo, Ganzia, dwarf Dalia's, also when I have the energy I see Delphiniums are mentioned mine have been in for three to four years now and are a foot high I gave them a good feed of chicken munure 'pellets' at the begining of the year they look good at the moment. I shall be following all your threads on seed growing and your tips to inprove my gardening My kind regards JohnR.

TERMS:

Stratification: Chilling seeds to promote germination. Damp paper towel in a baggy & put in fridge
Scarification: Scratching or notching seed coat. Soaking with Hydrogen Peroxide & Water works too
Damping Off: a fungal disease that causes seedlings to die soon after germination

QUICK TIPS:

Chamomile Tea prevents damp off. Steep 20 min, cool to room temp & water your trays
