Yes, Glasscrafter's get's me every time they have their sales... darn.. I ordered the saw last night and an extra blade.. plus a book on bottle designs.

They had them on sale plus 10% off for Mother's Day, which basically covered the shipping.

How do you like the Taurus? I have seen mixed reviews.
Does anyone know the difference between the ring saw and the band saw?
Is one better than the other for cutting glass?

I have a glass band saw . it like the difference between a band saw & a scroll saw for wood work ..

I don't do woodworking either. LOL Is the band saw adequate to do lines and basic shapes?

yes .. as I have a bandsaws Wood & Glass I have learned to do a lot . the real trick is let the saw do the work .. dont force go slow for someone that has never yaed a saw from what I have heard from others the Taurus is a great saw put the go slow still applies

If I was to but a new saw it wouldnt be the bandsaw for glass (I got mine FREE) so I work with what I have
