It's been awhile since I've heard form anyone who participated in this Swap.
Hoping I am the only one who is still awaiting my package from my Swap Buddy!?
Hi Joni - no, I've had to wait a while due to the awful weather we've been having!
That seems to have eased for a while, and we're having a welcome dose of sunshine. Hopefully my swap buddy will have time to do my parcel soon - although I know some great plans are afoot this weekend...so it can wait until she has time
Me too...it's really just not right that the person who worked so hard to put together this swap doesn't have their cut's yet. Ticks me off.... and If I thought there was a chance in the world that I'd have some thing that Joni doesn't I'd send it too her,,,and Joni for what it's worth...even if it's something you could use and I have it, I'll send along....
I feel the same way as you do! I wish I could send something to Joni, but I'll think about it, not talking about hoya cuts, because I suppose she has almost everything but anything different, the only problem is that I'm so far away from US, that make my wish very difficult to achieve.
You guys are great...it's really not the cuttings it is the feeling of being...forgotten?
It's ok...you only get one time to make a first impression.
I was glad to continue what Carol had started and hope everyone is successfully growing and enjoying their new hoyas and such!
Thanks to everyone!
Joni
Name: Carol Noel Hawaii (near Hilo) It's all about choices.
It may have been so daunting for the 'Giver' to send Joni cuttings..."Gee, what can I send that she doesn't have?" that retreat was the best they could do...and that is sad. In every exchange/swap we have ever done, it's always been stressed that the key word is 'exchange'...not "send that person exotic hoya they don't have".
Very sad.
I am enjoying my tea from London with as much joy and pleasure as I could have from receiving a passel of new hoyas!!!!
Joni, do you think contacting your buddy would help? There got to be a better explanation behind delay! On the positive side, weather is still good for rooting once the cuttings get to you.
Oh Carol your London tea sounds yummy! I opened my exchange up to anything...not just hoya cuttings because I wanted to try something new.
Alka...my buddy and I chatted the beginning of May to plan for a May 8ish ship date...I am sure she forgot but I'm not one to be a constant reminder. I want her to want to do it if not...I'm ok with that too. Live and learn.
Very honorable of you Joni. To skip the ranting.. i'll just say it makes me so frustrated.. What can you do, I suppose. We all feel for you.
On a different note.. It's been two months and 3/5 of my cuttings have shown new growth! Very thrilled! I'm finding it's so much more fun to grow my own hoya from cuttings rather than purchase young plants. I hope everyone's cuttings are doing just as well. (I'm curious about yours too Loraine!)
Joni, I surely hope your "swap partner" comes through with the "goodies" very quickly. If there's anything I can do for you, please let me know! Fondly, Patrick
I´ve read this thread with interest and just want to know if there is something like an autumn-swap or if ther will be a new spring-swap next year? Then I´ll probably be able to make some cuttings.....
And I feel really sorry ´bout the forgotten ones, that shoud not happen!
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

You must have been Rain's Swap Buddy...have you heard anything from her since sending them?
@Patrick...you are so cordial...nah...I've always been more of a 'giver' than a 'getter'...I certainly have enough plants to keep me occupied...she probably did me a favor
