|Funny story about this plant: someone asked me to ID it for them and they said they knew it was not H. carnosa. We argued a bit and I said...why don't you send me a piece,, I can't tell in a picture. So..it was H. carnosa and my obsessiveness about rooting everything, made me pot it up. Well, I grew it outdoors in an out of the way place where it got full sun all winter and in the summer full sun in the mornings and little water. Next I looked the vine was 1.5' long with 4 peduncles and it had bloomed already. YIKES...I potted it up into a bigger pot...one of the new ones I got, and hung it where it gets full sun for 4 hours in the morning before the sun is too high. The two umbels opened at the same time...and the colors aren't stable!!!!! I am going to photo every umbel as it opens, the same day in their opening of all of them to see if the colors is unstably consistant or consistantly unstable?????
The petioles are a dark dark pink which I don't remember other carnosas having....but then, I haven't seen one bloom!!!!!
I love it!!!!!
Leap. The net will appear.
