My husband found this cool site with a lot of nostalgic things on it. I haven't looked at all of it but each thing made me say OH man I miss that!!

It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give...

Oh I glanced but can't look at that, or I'd be there ALL NIGHT--Too much fun!!!
Today I remembered those gas station promo steak knives with the yellow , or faux wood brown, handle. Talk about indestructible!!!! I bet my mom still has a couple.
I think that I shall never see...A poem lovely as a tree ( Kilmer) Whatever the weather, you can bring your own sunshine (DD) I'm not REAL smart but I think I'm pretty good average (my dad)

Ronnie, I have often wondered just how many of those far out gadgets The Jetsons TV show had have become common place items in our homes.

I might have to find the time to watch a few episodes to find out!! Thumbs up

Planning our Halloween costumes was always a lot of fun. We didn't often get a store bought one, so some thought & creativity had to go into them.

I miss talking astrology as a way of 'explaining' some one's personality, etc.

So, What sign are you ?

My Mom made all my Halloween costumes, too. She was really good at coming up with unique ideas. There was a Halloween Box at my Grandmothers that had all kind of things in there.

Yes, Halloween costumes often were hand me downs, especially among the cousins.

Now there's and interesting expression, Hand me downs. Wonder where that came from?

I miss home made Apple Taffies or Candy Apples. My mother used to make both the red candy ones as well as the caramel and peanut ones. She also made caramel popcorn balls at Halloween.

LOL This time of year always makes me think of them. She always bought those black ginger snaps and we would eat them with hugh glasses of milk. She'd make gingerbread too, the cake type, not the type the houses are made from.
