A tip to all of you about ice makers in your refrigerator. We had bought a Sears refrigerator and it came with a water line for making ice that was plastic or vinyl. It sprung a pin point leak and over the course of a day caused water damage to the Pergo kiitchen floor as well as on into the living room.

Refrigerators still come with those types of lines but we change them out to a metal type one to eliminate this danger.

So when it happened we decided to put new windows in the kitchen as well as cabinets, floor . . the whole 9 yards.

Here is a pic of my sunny kitchen gutted.

This was an very unique idea that I liked from a magazine but didn't end up doing.. . custom tapered wood legs with a copper sphere on top.

That is black slab granite with gold metalic flecks in it. It has held up very well but being a natural stone you can be sure if there are weaknesses in it. So it did develop one fine crack in the thin margin at the front of the sink. I actually don't even notice it anymore. There is a special spray cleaner and we also have a polish that we use on it once in a while.

I wish I could find some old pictures to show you the true "before".
