I'm wondering - which weeds can be put in the compost pile and which should not be. I think anything that has seeds on it should not go into the compost pile, but what about:

nettles?
blackberry and salmonberry?
wild, weedy grasses (not lawn grass) that has not gone to seed?
buttercup (the annoying creeping kind)?
lemon balm

I'd love to get a list of what can be composted and what should be burned or discarded elsewhere.

Hubs said yesterday the trips to the yard waste place were getting to be too expensive and I needed to find another solution. Such a bad move on his part. Can't wait to see how he likes his lemon balm and buttercup salad tonight.
