Here are the rules The first contest will run for 2 weeks, you may post up to 4 pictures each week. There will be 4 placements and 4 Honorary Mentions. All place winners will be reported in a article. Contests start on Monday and continue to Saturday at Mid-night of the second week. I will take Sunday to judge and report the winners by 5pm unless I report otherwise. Life happens! We will also try to report the next contest subject at least a week before the contest starts. In the beginning the subjects will be very simple. I will judge the pictures on composition, focus and subject. I will not judge by the person who takes the picture. (I was taught many years ago to judge what makes a good picture by a Prof. Photographer. But there is a lot that is still "in the eye of the beholder", later we will have more judges. You are allowed to crop/trim your pictures but no other photo editing is allowed. This is also a learning contest and we want to help everyone take winning pictures. If anyone wants to know why we did not chose their picture, I, or any of our future judges, will gladly offer pointers to help you improve your photographs. Just send us C mail. Just remember there can only be 4 winners each week and some times it will be very close. A tiny correction could make you the next winner. Contestants retain all rights to their images. By submitting the image to the contest they grant this cubit the right to republish winning entries in the ensuing winners announcement article only. If you see a picture you want for any reason, please, PLEASE, PLEASE!!! request permission from the owner. Good luck and have fun
