This thread is for people to post their Centers that they will be sending on. This way we get to "ooooooh", and "awwwwww" over them, and get an idea of what materials we can find in our stash to add to it (they can be solid fabric or pieced, or appliqued, whatever you feel works with the center!).
Also, if there are specific colours that you like or don't like, you can post that here. Ears perked up!
For instance, I'm not a fan of pink, but I love, love, love Jewel tones rather than pastels. Burgundy is a favourite of mine, but one of my centers called for a deep blue, with some black for contrast and that's what one of the previous Round Robin participants put on. It's GORGEOUS! Thumbs up That's the peacock center I made. I'm thrilled with the result. Thumbs up Thumbs up Lovey dubby

The person 2nd in line and so on will have artistic licence with your center, so we won't be "directing" and if a colour "fits" then that's what will go in the top Whistling Rolling my eyes. Big Grin

Susan, if you don't get another person, I would be OK with doing two. I'm having a terrible time picking ONLY ONE center!

Rolling on the floor laughing Pat - I know what you mean - in our last RR I did 2 centers, and they're as different as can be! Whistling

We'll see what happens by the 15th of February, ok? After all, that gives us 2 weeks to round out the round robin, so to speak Ears perked up! Smiling

1st is the Center - start with a 15 1/2"x24 1/2" inch unfinished center (whatever you want for your quilt) -everyone sends theirs to the next person on the list
2nd round -everyone adds a 2" border to the quilt they are sent. Send to next person on list.
3rd round - everyone adds a 3" border and sends to the next person
4th round - everyone adds a 4" border
5th round - everyone adds a 5" border
6th round - everyone adds a 4" border and then sends back to the next person on the list who will actually be the maker of the center (the owner).

Yes but I'm still on borrowed laptop. Until my computer issues get resolved posting pictures is not very doable. I can link you what I'm going to use part of! https://www.anniescatalog.com/detail.html?prod_id=124179 I'm going use the big moose head and the 2 pinecone strips.
I had tried for months to talk myself out of buying that panel because I already have WAY TOO MANY projects and my stash? well... when does it become more than a stash and become an obsession? Anyhow, one day I gave in and bought it. THAT is what will make up the center of my quilt.

LOL, I have that panel, anything else with that moose too Big Yellow Grin Never would have thought about making a quilt center. Great idea.

I just got back from checking on my Mother down south. Im praying not, but it looks like I might be having to make an extended stay down there. Im going to have to go back on the maybe list for this swap. I am, going to plow ahead tho, as if I was still in. Pat might have just given me life tho, with the center idea using parts of a panel. Worst come to worst, I just start with a panel for the center, if I dont have time for a center.....yes yes, hope springs eternal.

I got my center done & I'm happy with it. I have another panel on order, not sure when it will be here. An adorable Christmas mouse one to make for a friend. https://www.anniescatalog.com/detail.html?prod_id=126727, I'll bet just that center would end up about 40 inches circumference depending how much of the red sashing you left on.

With so many borders, it just seems to me a "picture center" is most appropriate. Shrug!

oh Pam - sorry to hear about your worry re: your Mother.... Sad
You do what you can, when you can - we won't hold you to being in the swap as a definite - 'maybe' is fine. We have 1 1/2 months to firm things up then another 2 weeks before the next person needs to receive the first center. Whistling

Remember - you are always #1 on the list, and also - the center doesn't have to be exactly the dimensions mentioned. Just so long as the diameter is the total # of inches. If you want to make it a square, or a long rectangle with short sides - it's your center, make it as you like Big Yellow Grin

Thank you! If I had known how to do it and had all the technology working here, I'd have posted a picture! THANKS

Pam, with my Dad's health so uncertain, over the last 3 years, I finally had to decide to move forward and stop NOT making plans because of the uncertainty. It has been tough to do that but it just finally made more sense to me. I am not in the circumstances as you, he does live with my sister but I try to do what I can to relieve her and support her. I took a week off work to be with them while Dad had heart surgery last year. Marie and I could keep each company and get a break from the hospital that way.

thoughts and prayers are with you.

Pat - there's a tiny program you can use (EASILY) for screen shots - it's called LightShot and doesn't take much space on your computer and is super easy to use. Highly recommend it.
