If you want to be surprised with the progress, this is not the thread for you Whistling
In that case, you can c-mail the piece you've worked on to me and I can post it here. That way you won't see what's happening to YOUR center - ok? Ears perked up!

Angie - here's your center, with my 2" border added. I used two parts to make up the whole 2" - there's a border on the border, of a 1" fabric, so it's going to be narrow add-on when it's completed. It just looked "right" to put it there. This isn't the first time I've made a single border out of 2 borders - just don't let it confuse anyone when you're doing the next border Hilarious!

I've sent Angie's center to Becky - yesterday. It will likely take a week or so to get past customs, etc. Whistling

How's everyone doing?

I haven't heard much lately.
I know that Pat's pretty busy getting ready for a wedding, and Angie's working on all sorts of stuff.

Right now I'm knitting a pair of learning how to knit heels on socks, and also doing two lap quilts. Have one that's red, pink & white for a friend (Karie) and a shades of blue one for my other friend, Susan from GA.
Enjoying my time with all of them. Big Yellow Grin
Oh, and I'm recovering a pair of black slip ons, with some summery cotton fabric. They'll be done either tonight, or tomorrow. I want to wear them to church - told a little girl that "next Sunday, I'll be wearing some shoes with bling, too!" because I admired her pretty shoes Whistling

Hey, I want to see those "recovered" shoes!

JUST got back from Portland after taking my son to specialist for his eye ulcer. He's been treated for at least 2 weeks locally and it was starting to get WORSE! We drove up Wednesday and the drive way awful, wind, rain, construction and dark, not my favorite combination and Kevin could not help navigate due to his eye issues.
His eye is getting better, so now we'll see.

I'll have to redo them - I didn't use flexible fabric glue, and they're stiff. They started out 1 size bigger than I normally wear, and now they're fitting 1 size smaller. Sticking tongue out
not sure if I will take this stuff off these and remake a new pair, or just get a new pair and work on them!
I do like the looks of these though! Thumbs up

I am doing great! Can't wait to get Angie's center! I have been sewing a row quilt with members of our Guild here in Twin FAlls, ID. A row quilt is similar to a round robin in that each member does one row and then passes it along with directions. I did a row of patriotic stars for a Quilt of Valor. IN case you do not know what that is google quilts of valor. I have also been quilting diamond tread by freshpiecing.com . It is challenging but worth it. I believe it is a sign of a true quilter if your have several projects going because if I get bored of one I can always start or continue with another quilt. I can't count how many different quilt projects I have put on the back burner. Rolling my eyes.

Oh good Becky, you mean I am not just a slacker with ADD? I do wish I had more FINISHED projects and less UFOs and PIPs. Not mention "I'm collecting for.... "

ooooooooh ADD.......... ummmm what were we talking about? Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

I bought another pair of slip ons, and now that I have the proper Fabric glue, I'm going to do these with Butterflies!
Supposed to put modge podge over, to seal the fabric in Whistling Don't have it, but will get it before it hits to rainy season Whistling

I have 2 knitting projects, 2 quilting projects (on the go, not to mention the UFO's that have been sitting for years.....), and plan on doing some sewing of my own clothes - start with a circle skirt!
Better to be busy, than let my fertile mind get the best of me.

Thanks, Shar. I just happened to have the perfect colors to match some of those in her panel
and I'm going with the flying geese in a chevron pattern. I like it and I hope Pam does as well.

I might try my hand at a little applique and embroidery when it gets to me, depending on what happens between now and then!

yeah, I did that once- on a border that I quickly did, I added a bit of embroidery on each of the 4 corners. It would have been a rather plain strip border, with 4 white corners. I did butterflies, in keeping with the center.

OK, well Im feeling more behind that ever, Im not so creative. Here is where I am and where I think Im going. Angie gets it after me, so I hope she speaks up. OK, first Pats. Whats going on here is, I was playing around with different color little inner borders, to seperate the and accent the plaid. I had already nixed the inner border of any color in my mind, the side with the plaid only was the winner, but it sealed it when I but Beckys border around just to see what the next layer might do. There is plenty of time to pull out that cream. Thumb of 2016-05-01/gardenglory/6d32d1
