Name: Carol Noel Hawaii (near Hilo) It's all about choices.
Our speaker today on Vermiculture (a Professor of the University of Hawaii) told us alot of interesting information today at a workshop on Vermiculture. The wax/clay used on glossy paper we receive is not all that bad...the secret is soaking it/them in water for about 12-15 hours and then ripping the magazines/paper apart. Soaking makes it nice and easy. The worms have no problem. THIS is good news!!!!
This forum is for anyone interested in learning or teaching about Improving and Amending Soil to come forth and share....have FUN. I feel more and more we are going to be turning to our land to support us, and we all need to help.
