OK, things are starting to look different, more opened up now, had 4 guys here for 3 days cutting down the overgrown shrubs and pulling out the stumps. It may have looked nice from a distance but believe me, they took up so much room and the shrubs were so gnarled underneath that they had to come out. I can now put in what I want to grow.
First images were taken from my upper bedroom balcony on 5/7, when just the right side had been cleared and before the large hedge behind the new golden tree and the bench had been cut down. The bed in front of the spa is the future veggie garden, Brad has plans drawn up for a couple of nice raised beds and an entry arbor for one of my climbing roses.

And this morning, as viewed from the kitchen deck, now it's open all the way to the back fence and you can see all the trees in the greenbelt:

and then from my bedroom balcony again so you can compare them to the first set of pictures. My golden locust tree will be planted right there in the center of the first image near where the 2 stumps are laying. It will eventually fill in that space and be as tall as the tree to the left, but glowing gold!
