Why a Bath?

By Mistirose (Mistirose) on May 12, 2011

I know a Babe’s life is always busy, but we have to take time to relax and take care of ourselves.

Stress is not a Babe’s friend…under eye circles and bags, wrinkles, red eyes, dry skin, hair loss are all just some of the ways stress shows itself on our bodies. That’s not even counting the heart disease and other health issues it can cause. A bath is a wonderful way to relax and reduce stress. Now of course you can just run some water in a tub and sit in it and stare at the porcelain or you can make it a soothing, wonderful spa type experience. Below are some Ideas to help you create your own wonderful bath.

  • Get a bath pillow. You can find them at dollar stores a lot of times. They are a lot softer than the wall.
  • Make sure you have some clean, fresh fluffy towels.
  • A nice Fluffy robe to put on after is nice too.
  • Set the scene with some flowers. Pick some from your yard to bring in or stop by and get yourself an inexpensive bouquet to set around the tub.
  • Some small votive candles in one of your favorite scents set around the tub for mood lighting are a wonderful touch.
  • And maybe include a massage candle and massage your hands and feet with the wonderfully aromatic oils it produces.
  • Run some bath water hot but not too hot that you burn yourself.
  • Add some bath salts or a bath bomb. If you are feeling really frisky add both. Did you know that the magnesium in the Epsom salts actually absorbs into your skin and
  • Let the tub fill nice and full, light your candles and get in. Soak for at least 30 minutes.
  • Close your eyes and relax or read a book or magazine, listen to some relaxing music anything to help you relax and forget the world outside.

About Mistirose
Hello, I am Misti. I have been married for 21 years to the most wonderful and inspiring husband who supports me in everything I do. As a lot of my friends affectionately call me domestic, tell me I’m a nice home maker etc… I thought why not use that and create a place where I can share all I have learned in my many hobbies and experiences. I love crafting (My fav is Sewing), making foods from scratch, gardening and the list goes on…I am a spender and a saver. I believe there are some products worth spending the money on and buying store bought and there are others that we can successfully duplicate ourselves for much less. I will share my many recipes, How to’s and lessons learned here with you and I hope you will share yours with me. I truly value your experiences and opinions you have to share. I am always learning and hope to continue to do so for a long time to come. Nap was kind enough to do an in depth interview on me here
Thank you Nap for the wonderful interview. The business has since been closed and I am sharing all kinds of how to's and recipes on my blog and my cubitsI hope you will join me!
