| Hello! I haven't read everyone's posts yet. I was just too excited about joining into the conversation. My name is Carolyn. I a displaced Texan, living in Utah (not always a fun place if you're not Mormon). I am married with two children, a dog, a cat, eight parrots, four snakes and many lovely plants. I was raised Southern Baptist (as many Texans are), and realized in my early 20's that most of it just didn't make sense. I can see teaching children moral values with the hellfire and brimstone technique, but at a certain point, either you're going to be a good person . . .or you're not! Be kind, respect the earth and all who dwell on it. Simple . . .right? |
