Judy Gale Roberts Intarsia Intarsia as we know it today can be attributed almost entirely to one person, Judy Gale Roberts, who rejuvenated the art in the late 1970s. Her website includes the latest issue of her newsletter/catalog, "Intarsia Times". Her intarsia patterns are the best!
Ocooch Hardwoods Ocooch Hardwoods sells a large variety of both hardwood and softwood lumber. One thing I really like about this company is that you can purchase lumber in a number of ways: Unsurfaced (or rough), intarsia lumber (which is surfaced 2 sides to 3/4” thick, available in many widths, min. size is 1 ft. long), and scroll saw ready (surfaced 2 sides, sanded to 150 grit, in 2 ft. lengths). They have a great selection of lumber, are a small company, very friendly and a pleasure to do business with. They have an on-line catelog but ordering is done by phone only.
