Can't resist sprouting seeds and striking cuttings? Have too many little plants left over from a garage sale? You are more than welcome to list them here. This forum is for everyone who would like to share...in exchange for $$ or looking for a trade.

You are urged to post what you HAVE or what you are LOOKING FOR here and then to carry out your transaction thru a Cmail. Everyone is welcome to participate but there ARE some rules...little ones:

You will be buying/selling at your own risk as I cannot be a forum nazi nor do I want to be. If you are unknown to us it would be nice to see some 'credentials' such as a link to your Garden Watchdog site, your Ebay name and any other reference you would like to give.

Plants or items offered 'should' be of the TROPICAL nature - plants that can be grown outside in the higher zones and indoors in the lower zones.

OK...now, lets have fun!!!!

I will have some gingers for sale or trade after I come back from visiting with my daughter. She is in the Air Force and currently stationed in Idaho. it will be after June 12 when I come back. Got nearly 25 or 30 kinds of gingers growing here..
Love me like I am.

Also, since the full growing season is coming close to ending when striking cuttings is best.... I am thinking of having a forum where hobbyists and vendors can take "orders" for next year. I know that I have some small seedings of good plants....and I thought I could post some mother plants and offer rooted cuttings for next year for a nominal sum.

Anyone like this idea????

Cool. I would love to purchase some cuttings of H. Breckenridgei from you. Let me know how much kala to send you (zip 32750).

I'm from Maui but I've lived in Florida for some time now. What got me interested (again) in native plants of my birthplace/home was my recent visit to the D.T. Fleming Arboretum at Pu'u Mahoe on Maui (http://flemingarboretum.org/2011/) this past October. I could not get over how fragrant the Hibiscus waimeae is! So I want one.
Here's is a picture of this white hibiscus from the arboretum's website:

The Tropics and Tropicals

Tropics and Tropicals is about living, growing, and simply loving the tropics and tropical plants. I urge anyone to let me know about a tropic they would like to discuss and we will make it happen.
