The Artisan's Nook is very proud to spotlight one of our favorite artisans. We enjoy the work of several artists in the Nook and hope to bring you more Featured Artisans articles soon. Grab yourself a cup of coffee and come meet the Putteringpossum. She has incredible talent and you're going to love her work!
Hi Janet and Juanita. Yep, Juanita is an awesome artist. And a precious friend. Thankyou Janet for this article about her work. She is too shy to brag on herself. I, too, have been the proud recipient of some of her beautiful work and inspirations. Her most spectacular is her work with eggs. Maybe you can do another article about those next. This is one of many of the wonderful cards I have received from Juanita, just cause she is a special lady.
Hey Debbie!!! Glad you made it over here.. Been thinking of you lots! How goes the egg decorating.. Everyone is behind. I managed to get mine out before going back to work, and Jaye has sent hers to LK. She did some fabric cutouts and sealed them to some of the ceramic eggs. Looked really nice. Hope you are feeling better.
Just decorated eggs. Was going to give you a picture, but I thought I had too many. I do Pysanky eggs on real eggs, and then ceramic and polymer eggs. Did a decorated egg swap over at DG. Didn't get a lot of interest, but we went ahead anyway. I have way too many interests. I ought to learn to do one thing really well. Must have ADD.
Well, you know Juanita, I am always a behind, excuse me, I mean behind. I just got my package today from Linda Kay. I will take a photo and send it to you cmail and then you can copy it and paste it onto the swap thread at DG. She did such a beautiful job. I am feeling much much better and trying to catch up on all that I got behind on while I was sick. My package should be going out this week , even if I am scared to send it. I just had to get the master Artisan for a swap buddy.

I bet a Picasso butt would look very "Different" than most butts. I love your work and love your name. putteringpossum,
i know the feeling, it would be great to do one thing extremely well, but you already have it down pat. Great work.
Thanks Charlene! I guess I should explain the derivation of my name. Several years ago when I worked at the golf course before I had my own business, I got up to go to work and found a baby possum in the front yard. It was a rain day and work got called off, so when I came back he was still here. Barely alive. I brought him in and got him warm and he started getting more active. So I wnet online and figured out what to feed him. Kept him here for a week and nursed him. He was the cutest thing you ever saw. We took him to a wildlife rehab person so he could learn to be with other possums and be released into the wild. If I had it to do over again, I would have just kept him as a pet. He could have been released, but would have depended on us for some of his food and that would have been OK. My greatest sadness is that somehow I managed to delete the pictures I had of him. Possums get a bad rap, but they are clean and smart and don't get rabies or anything else. The puttering part comes from my DH who says I "putter". So there you go. More info than anyone ever wanted.
