On another photo sharing website I enjoy, we do monthly themes to stretch our photographic imagination. January's theme was RGB... standing for Red Green Blue in color photo processing. I really got into this theme and submitted several ideas. I won photo of the day for four of them. These are my RGB photos...

What kind of camera do you use? Do you have special lights to get the effects you've created?

Thank you Janet, and thanks again for the invite. I enjoy sharing if there are those who want to look!
I am a Canon girl... I have a Canon T1i DSLR, and I have the SD780 as my point and shoot. Both were used in this venture... I'd have to go back to each photo to see what is what. 99 times our of a 100 I will shoot in natural light, without flash. I think two of these used a little fill flash. To be honest, my main "studio" for all of these shots was over my kitchen stove, under the stove light! I have a really bright "natural light" lightbulb in there and it gives me the best light for indoor and close-up work like this. I just cover the stovetop and set up whatever base or background I need and start shooting! The trickiest one here was the drops of color in the glass of water... took an extra set of hands from hubby to set up while the camera did continuous shooting.

It's obvious that you have a lot of fun with your camera. Thanks so much for explaining about the lights and the type of equipment you use.

I am looking forward to seeing other photos that you've taken. You really take photography to a whole 'nother level. I can't wait to show these to my daughter. She just bought a Nikon DSLR (don't ask which one because I have no idea). I have got some serious camera envy now. She's been wanting a good camera for several years and finally saved up enough to buy herself one. She will really enjoy the vivid colors that you have captured.

I found out this evening that she's got a Nikon D5000. She bought a zoom (I think it was something like 50-200, but I may be wrong about those numbers) to go with it as a package deal.

I'm trying to talk her into joining Cubits. I showed her your RBG series and she absolutely loved every one of them. She's more like me than she wants to admit, because she loves unique things. Her Dad is conservative with a capital C. HAHAHA

She told me I could post any of her photos. So I will post this one of Jolie Faye and the rainbow.
