Thanks for starting this Gymgirl! I am in zone 7 at the moment but will be moving to zone 6 this Summer. I have been growing veggies and selling them for 7 years now.
My tomatoes are really lagging behind this year, but some peppers are starting to turn color! I was *very* late in sowing cucumbers and beans, finally managed to get some in a couple of weeks ago, and now I have tiny seedlings under row cover. Will they produce before frost? Hard to say. But I figured I had a better chance planting late than I'd have if I'd just left the seeds in the packets, LOL.
Basils are growing nicely since they're on a soaker hose... it's time to harvest them again, before they all bloom out. I'm letting a few blooms form to be sure of having seed at the end of the season. :-)
I'm here! There does seem to be a divide between zone 6 & 7 in terms of season length and what can be grown, although we can still grow some long-season tomatoes and hot peppers that aren't possible in zone 4...
Is there a plan to migrate this cubit to the new AllThingsPlants site? Or is there just a general veggie forum over there? I need to stop by the forum list again and see what's up there.

Critter, I don't think the owner of this site has posted in it for a while. I wanted to post here for some time but didn't see any point if the owner wasn't going to be working it.

We do have an edibles thread in our Mid Atlantic Musings cubit. As you know we are mostly zone 6 with a few 7's & 5's. Anyone who wants is welcome to join us there or to post here too, I suppose.
Thanks for the plug, Stormy... though I realize I'm a few months late in seeing it. I'm fine with zone 6ers starting a thread on my cubit if you want zone-specific chat someplace with the owner present.
I'm always the odd one out - the only other zone 8 folks I see on Cubits or ATP are in the northwest, which is a completely different climate from mine. I tried to get some discussion going on the zone 8 forum here when I first joined, but I was only talking to myself.
ATP has a general vegetables forum. There are some regional groups as well, but not by zone. I'm over there as well, but not as much as I'm on Cubits.
