Just in case someone wants to discuss this show.

Not sure if I do or not. Tivo didn't record the first night of dancing, just the "cast introductions" and the results show. I fell asleep over and over and didn't see who went home. It seemed the kindest thing I could do for myself, sleep. I'll watch - or try to - a couple more times, but I have no idea who these "celebrities" are for the most part. Of the ones I do recognize, I can't stand Nancy Grace and can't help feeling sorry for Chaz.

That's another one I haven't watched yet, but there are some people I enjoy. The guy from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy should be fun to watch. I hope he doesn't get voted off right away. David Alan Grier from In Living Color was one of the contestants a couple of seasons ago, and he was so much fun to watch, but he got voted off after just a few weeks.

I'm glad Chaz got Lacey for a partner. She's such an "anything goes" kind of girl that he ought to feel very comfortable with her.

I'm delighted that Derek Hough is back. I really missed his dancing and choreography when he was gone.

It is hard not to love Carson; he has such an infectious personality. I did stay awake long enough to see his "ha-ha cha cha" as Len put it. He certainly appeared to be having a ball.

I gotta stop watching this. It's just a travesty when someone who CAN dance goes home while someone who is never going to cut it stays. The voting surely ain't about the dancin'. Angry

Zuzu, if you weren't watching last night, you missed one of your fave SYTYD stars, Alison Holker. She and Derek performed a drop-dead routine last night. I'm so bored with this show, I just Tivo it and fast forward through till there's something worth watching - and this was it. So glad I didn't miss it; it was spectacular.

Oh, yeah, here it is: http://www.purederekhough.com/2011/11/01/derek-hough-and-all... My only complaint is that they didn't credit the musicians who were just as wonderful. Loved that music!

I taped it and I watched it a few hours ago. Wow, wow, wow! That was absolutely incredible, Alma.

Thanks for the link. I'll watch this one over and over again.

Derek and Alison are always amazing separately, but they aren't always dancing with excellent partners. What a great idea it was to put them together!

Who's voting for Nancy Grace?

I don't know! Maybe every ... well, I can't say that, can I? I am really disappointed that David went home and she is still klutzing around the dance floor. I keep taping the show, but with a few exceptions - this Derek/Alison dance being one - there's very little that's good dancing and entertaining. Thankfully, J.R. and Ricky are still in the running.

David and Carson were the most fun to watch. I'll miss them both. I wish Carson could have something to do with the show every season. He's a great commentator on the other dancers. Maybe they could add him to the panel with Jerry Rice (I forget what they call it, maybe Dance Center?) that critiques everyone just for fun.

Did anyone watch tonight? I wasn't as knocked out with Rob and Cheryl's performance as the judges were. The freestyle by J.R. and Karina was unbelievable! Who's gonna win? Any bets?

I'll watch the tape later tonight. It's still on here. I think Rob and Cheryl will come in third, Ricky and Derek will be second, and J.R. and Karina will win.

Well you were right RJ won, I was disappointed as I thought Ricky worked really hard, and did such a great job.I don't want to sound like I was against him but I do think that his injuries did play a part in the audience feeling compassion for him, either way they all did exceptionally well , and I could see the disappointment on Robs face.

It was fairly predictable, although I did think Rob had a good chance at an upset. (I am so tired of the Kardashian brand [they're not people; they're products], that I'd have been the one upset if he did win.)

I loved the show! For once, they had entertainment that was palatable (Lady Antebellum) and dancing that was so good, so joyful it was one long smile from routine to routine. Chynna was beautiful and graceful, David was immensely fun and I even liked Chaz's dance with Lacey and her dad. I just wish the whole season had been as good as the finale.

I just found a practical application for dance! http://www.fidyo.com/en/video/733356040_149489118454943.aspx I laughed so hard, I had tears.
