This was sold to me as the A. Rivieri.Thumb of 2010-08-07/mekos/fd7b27 Since I never had one before I don't have a clue. Could someone who is familiar with this plant, chime in and speak what you think?

The bloom I saw was different. I bought mine on e-bay though and you know nothing is named correct for the most part. That is why I'm trying to get more people who grow these to chime in and tell me or show pictures of theirs. However the leaf is different on this plant than Konjac so if it is suppose to be same as konjac , mine is not . You saw the one I bought from you didn't you and how it looks the same as one I got on e-bay and called something different. Now I got to wait for blooms to see what the one from e-bay really is. Some people just want to sell bulbs and get that money and don't tell you the truth as to what it is. I'm hoping someone who grows them can recognize the leaf form and chime in as to what they are. I'm just telling you what I've discovered about the name.

Amorphophallus konjac was first described by Schott as Conophallus
konjac in 1856 and then as Amorphophallus konjac by Koch in 1858. The
name Amorphophallus rivieri did not appear until 1870 giving Am. konjac
priority.

I looked those up this spring looking for the stink horns. My DH said everyone called them skunk cabbage but they weren't the same.

Yes there are different colors but the same thing. Look on the plant want and have lists on DG and a few people have them but they all look different. I love the red/blackish color one and it looks like it has a hood on it. I'd love to find it. Drooling

Amorphophallus konjac is Amorphophallus rivieri, the correct name to use is Amorphophallus konjac.
Yours looks like a seedling, you wont be seeing a bloom for a while.

I have Symplocarpus foetidus (another Skunk cabbage) in my backyard.
