On Monday May 2nd, I am going to start a series of games to pass time till our Amorph. babies poke the little heads up and look for spring. On some random cubit I will post a picture of a flower bloom. The first to recognize it and c-mail me with the correct answer ,will win. The prize for the first few games will be 2-3 growing seedling plants of Stevia.
If any of you have a cubit and wish for me to come post the picture there, c-mail me with a link to the thread so I can list it with the other possible threads to keep a watch on and I will choose it at least once maybe more as we play. On the Newbees Chat and Help thread I posted a list of cubit links that I will be useing to randomly post on. Everyone will need to go mark the threads to "WATCH"so it will be easier to spot when someone makes a post. No one knows where I will post till I do it.
I feel if I post a game randomly it will generate others to come to your cubit looking for the post and maybe look around while they are there. Might like your place enough to hang around and join up. So if you think you'd like to participate let me know or c-mail for information.
The prize being stevia plants is because I grew quite a few plants and no where to keep them, so some gotta go. Might as well have fun with it. Later the prize may change to something different.
So , mark your spot and lets all have fun! Good luck everyone.
For those who don't know, Stevia is a natural sweetner 300 times sweeter than sugar with NO calories and NO fat grams, and No Cholesterol. Tastes so sweet. I love it!

Oh yes seeds can be planted anytime, I didn't plant any since I pulled up my old plant and just crammed it into a pot and stuck it with only the dirt on it's roots, and stuck it in the greenhouse, shipped the seeds to Star in the piggy swap and low and behold, extra seeds fell to other pots and now I got probably a hundred plants all over the place in with my other plants plus my original one is still truckin!
Doris you use every part of the plant. I like to pick the leaves and drop them in water and bring to a boil, turn off and let it cool and pour it in ice trays and freeze. Use it to sweeten tea. You can also pick the stick parts(stalk) and do the same. IT is ALL sweet. Chew a leaf and see how sweet. Like eating pure sugar without any problems with it. You can dry the leaves and make a powder but I hear it may leave an after taste so I don't try it that way. You can keep it a liquid too and keep in fridge for cooking. Will keep about a week in fridge.

Yes, I guess so. This is one that if you pinch the tops out as they try to bloom, it will get bushy and make more limbs and lots more leaves. Then in late summer or fall let it go to seed and oh man what seeds you get. You cannot harvest ALL of them and they will fall and keep on going. Well not outside, it not hardy here, maybe in zone 8 or so but not for me. That is why I took it to the greenhouse to save. Didn't want to risk loseing it and not get seeds to germinate. Now I know it not a problem!
Good afternoon....oooops it's still morning I was up at 4am for the wedding, and it is truly beautiful, I think what I loved most was the simplicity of Kates dress,I loved it, and the crowds of peaple always amazes me.
awww my friend I work with got us a house warming card and included some seeds for Lemon grass and some for a dwarf Eucaluyptus. I never knew there was such a thing!
