Two years ago, my son was out with a bunch of the guys for a bachelor party. One of the guys was the designated driver, and after the party was over, he was driving everyone home. My son lived on a street with a bunch of duplexes, and they all looked the same. The designated driver accidentally pulled in the driveway next door. Andy told him it was not his, but it was close enough. he told the guy to stop, cause all the booze was making him sick. He opened the door to get out of the truck, and the guy put it in reverse and knocked Andy down, and under the truck. His legs got caught first, then his hip, and was dragged out to the street. The ambulance was called and he spent 4 days in the hospital, as the Dr. was sure there was internal damage! I was called 2 hours after this had happened, and immediately said prayers, and ask God to send his angels to watch over him. Well, it took us about 3 hours to get there, and we were told he must have an angel watching him, cause there was no internal damage! Just a lot of bruising.

Years ago my mother left my house on her way home when her car just stopped. She said she was in the fast lane too. Now she was about to panic when this man appeared and pushed her car over to the side of the road.. The man in a barber shop said she could use his phone. She called me to have my DH come and help her. He drove truck locally and just came home from a trip up north between the time she left my house and the phone call for help. We drove to where she was, the man stayed with her through all this then gave her his business card. DH got her car home running for her then we followed her home. The transmission belt broke so the next day he got another one and fixed her car for her. She was just in awe of this man who came out of nowhere to help her. She searched her purse and car for his card so she could call to thank him again. She never did find that card. She said he was an angel sent to help her. That story was told to so many people and I often wondered what happed to that business card. Yes, they do walk among us!!
Actually Pegi, your story reminds me of a event that happened to me, not nearly so profound as your mom's encounter, but I've always wondered.
This was years ago when I started working for an insurance adjusting firm and I was going on an assignment across town. Well, I wasn't used to traveling far, especially on the freeways in Houston so I was traveling on infamiliar highways and roads. As I was driving along a ramp, in the far right lane, a car came up behind me flashing it's lights.. that's when I realized that the car in front of me was not moving, apparently stranded or broke down? I looked back to see if the car that was flashing was still there so I could safely change lanes, but it was gone! I mean it had vanished into thin air. I've always wondered about that....

Amen!!
Ain't it a good thought that angels serve our Lord?
Christine, me and ex was returning from Houston, drove along I10, back to Lafayette, La.
I was driving since ex wanted to take a nap. Somehow after a couple of hours of driving, I got sleepy. All of a sudden, this hard push on my left shoulder woke me up.
I realized the car had crossed the median and took off the opposite direction!!! There was an oncoming truck and luckily for us, the driver acted fast to avoid me. I managed to control the car and parked along the side. No damage, but grass and dirt clinging to the side of the car, and ex thanking the Lord.
That stranger came to check on us, and told us he saw how my car swerved to the median and did a 180!!
Normally I10 is a busy highway on weekends, especially along the Beaumont exit..but there was only that truck on the road.
Truly believe an angel shoved me and Lord cleared the road, and He also sent that angel trucker.

Like this too!
Jaye, I know that highway, been on I10 a few times from Houston to Louisiana and yes, it has always been busy when I traveled on it! You must have been thanking the Lord and the angels that day too!
In case you all haven't seen this, it's a beautiful story of a miracle told by valleylynn ~ The Miracle in the Canal. This is an inspiring and touching story of the power of God. You may want to have a tissue handy.

"Lynn Smith, or valleylynn, as we know her best, shares a story about a miracle that happened to her many years ago. After hearing this story for the first time, I found it affected me deeply and with her permission, I am sharing it in her own words. This is no ordinary "it happened to me" story but one that will most likely leave you speechless and in awe."
Traveling on the 60 Freeway on our way to attend our great-granddaughter's 2nd birthday the wheel of our truck hit a groove in the freeway and started forcing the truck to the right lane. Then I saw DH holding on to the steering wheel trying to hold on and keep it in the lane we were in. The back of truck started fish tailing and it was time to pray. Traffic was going at a steady pase, but there were no cars in the lane where our truck was headed. DH got the truck under control and we continued on. He told me he was so sure we were going to roll. I just know we were surronded by angels and I was giving a prayer of thanks for our safety. DH thanked me for not screaming (that would have spooked him), how could I sceam when I was in a state of shock.
