This thread is the place where you will see Pastime's Computer Art. She has created amazing wildflower illustrations and we are pleased to show her work here.
Added another piece yesterday. It's a drawing using a photo of one of my vases. It was cold and rainy all day, so what the heck is there to do, but play on the computer.
Name: Carol Noel Hawaii (near Hilo) It's all about choices.
I sure could use some help on 'fixing' some of my flower photos so I could transfer them paper to paint. I would love to Posterize the image.... Change it from color to BandW.... Any tutorials you know of? I have PhotoShop...
Oh good grief, Carol......I already know you can paint. I know how talented you are. I know also how well you mix colors. And I know you have total control over that brush. And canvas. Or paper.
Just look at the flower and paint it....(grumble)
(no sleep for the past two nights...can you tell???)
Carol, I took your Banana flower and drew it in Adobe Illustrator. I don't like the leaves, but, for now, that's the way it is. I had to bring the finished vector drawing into Photoshop and do some hue and saturation tweeking on the leaves, so their ugliness doesn't show much. I've come to the conclusion, I hate banana leaves, too many veins.
Thanks Sharon. I'm going to tackle the Heuchera picture next. Already loaded the color palette onto the computer, but that's as far as I've gone. Glad you're back, you have a lot of reading to do.
