I think your article is really important because it is a sure sign of
spring or early summer when they provide their lovely orange
colors.
Yes I did know about the edible buds, I even eat them raw.
However I now live in an apartment and look at the lilies on
the Parkway. Thanks for the article reminder and thanks for the
beautiful pictures.

Here's another picture for you taken this morning, not a ditchlily, but a very close color match. I do love daylilies.
