I guess this doesn't need any introduction .. I have some established in a fish pond for frog habitat & for the gold fish to use for spawning. It's not easy to find in Australia.

SOOOOO glad I planted it in a pot in the pond .. let's just say I found out why not many 'fish'/garden people have (read here 'want') it! :whistling:

An individual flower stem.

Another new one for me. I like the spires of blooms, like in delphiniums and lupines.

Oh, it's a USA 'native' & believe a real pest & restricted in some States .. but i love it .. IN it's pot IN the pond! It actually escaped over 2 yrs when my folks were ill & was an absolutely terrible job to get it's over-growth out! But .. it did make great mulch! :)

I might know it by a different name, not sure what that name is, though.

Might it be called Pickerel Rush? I also believe it's edible .. but I'll leave it for the fish .. Hilarious!

I think I'm not familiar with it because I've never lived near or in an aquatic area and that might be why it's unfamiliar to me. I've seen it I'm sure, just know nothing about it. Sure is pretty, though.
