Lots of love sewn into those quilts. I hope you saved a couple of those memory-filled treasures for yourself. Did you? If you did, please grace us with pictures.

I have a few, Nap. This is a new computer and I don't have my quilt pictures on it yet. I do have this old one that will give you a glimpse through the doors of my 'quilt cabinet'. I stole this photo from one of my Sewing threads. It will give you an idea.

Here are sections of one that was made by my grandmother sometime in the early 30s.

How wonderful! When I called them 'treasures,' I was right! These labors of love are a piece of history. You are so fortunate to have kept them with you.

I love you. Lovey dubby

Thanks Nap, love you right back. The cabinet only holds part of them, I rotate them on and off beds and usually launder them every spring when I can let them dry outside. They are treasures for sure. I also have some patchwork quilts, some call them crazy quilts, a couple made of velvet and one of wool. They are made like the ones we gave to those who needed them. That way they were sure to use them and the heavier they were the longer they lasted. My children each have a couple of old quilts too, but they also have 2 or 3 that were made more recently by my Mom. They are all beautiful to me.

Yes. Treasures.

Thanks Larry and Shirley!

I really miss those days, somehow it just doesn't seem to work like that anymore.
