Truth should be everpresent.
I have wanted a hoop house since I first heard there was such a thing. And I finally got one! I already had the pieces of rebar to anchor it but I needed black plastic water pipe to make my hoops. I was fortunate enough to have a conversation with my neighbor behind me. He was setting about cleaning up the place his sister used to live. It borders the back of our property behind the goat lot. She "went in the home" years ago and passed away last year. I heard him working in the brush and I went to see him. I had seen a few short lengths of black pipe and asked him if he'd put it aside for me if he was not going to use it. He told me there was quite a bit of it rolled up next to the old pump house and I was welcome to it. I scooped it up quick as I could which took some doing in the thick brush. But I was able to get it back to my truck and bring it home with me. I immediately set about measuring, cutting, driving stakes and praying for plastic sheeting to cover it all. DH brought me some from town and I was in business.

Turns out we are having an early Spring but I know the hoop house will help me keep some veggies farther into fall than I could without it. Looking forward to that.

Here are some pics of my prize.
