| Glad I found you. I've been using excel for years for basic stuff. Now I'm trying to put together a spreadsheet to use to track what projects our engineers are working on. I have an idea of what I want to do but not how to do it. I'd like to have the user be presented with a list of options in a pulldown menu when they click on a cell. I want to keep the list separate so its easy to maintain. Any idea where to start to find this function? Tam |

| Connie, I think ...was it you, maybe it was someone else. I think you can use that to go to the exact Tab you want to for the various companies within your many tabbed spread sheet. | I just experimented a spreadsheet with colors, numbers and all. It's such fun! I have an old Excell and find it more friendly too. I only highlight the cell and click on the Backround color icon.Do you think my boss will appreciate colored cells and columns? |
|

| It depends on the boss. My boss loves color coding. The key word is 'color coding" Other bosses I've had do not. Ask him! Alan The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart. ~Hellen Keller |

Julie, I guess you will have to filter out just what he wants when he walks up so he only sees what he needs! One step ahead of him! Talk with people around the world. | At my last company, the executives LOVED colors. They wanted everything colored light a signal light. Green meant everything is good, Yellow meant trouble brewing and Red meant a big problem. There were guidelines to use to determine the color to use. Have fun Adina! |

| I think in color so color is good in spread sheets. All numbers make my eyes glaze over. I have to keep the 1,000 separator on number so I read them right. My brain doesn't look at 1000.00 and say, "Its one thousand dollars". I could read it as one hundred dollars. DH, on the other hand thinks in numbers and has no color in his brain. |
