adina - i put the answer about the hamburger onthe old thread. can you move it to his one by copying and pasting it?

for a hambjurger sure. there are a million different ways to make one but this is what i usually do. take a small onion and cut it into a small dice. add some salt and pepper and then very gently mix it with the ground meat you are using. (the more you handle the meat the tougher the burge will be). over here the best meat to use for a hamburger is ground chuck. some people even use a mixture of ground beef pork and veal. they actually sell it that way in the supermarkets,.

once you have blended the onions and meat together you form it into a round ball then, using both your palms prews it into a hamburger shape.

ou can then grill it, fry it or broil it until you get it the way you want as far a donesss is concerned. (i like mine medium rare).

when done, top it off with a slice of tomato and lettuce and ketchup and you are set to go.

another way is to saute the onions and put them over the buger once it is cooked.

let me know how it came out.

Done it ...the post and the hamburgers! Thumbs up Thanks Frank, you were just on time! Hurray!
I'm going to fry it in a pan, is it OK? Does it need a medium heat or a low heat? I read that it needs to stay 5-6 minutes on each side.

what ou readlly want to do is sear it over very high heat andthen lower it to cook it the rest of the way. when ou sear it that way all the juices stay in the burger.

Oh, what cheeks she has!
The burgers were great! Hurray! My son came home last night safe and happy to be home again.
Here are a few pics of the burgers. Are they looking similar to yours? I fried them in a pan.

Adina, those look scrumptious! Nothing I like better than a good hamburger!
You had a great teacher too.
Has Ionut applied for the Disney job yet? Better stock up on lots of food to cook with him around! Those boys can eat a lot.

Connie, it was the first time I made hamburgers and I've only eaten a few times before at McDonalds....which I really didn't like. I liked better the ones I made now.
I don't know if he applied, he hasn't been home too much.
