| Time to get back here and show more pictures of Nicholas, his Mom and the town where they're living in. We came from here : http://cubits.org/cjr/thread/view/46179/ Nicholas has started to walk with help, stays on his feet and yesterday was the big day when the first teeth started to break through, just showing a cut of the gum for now.     Nicholas has a friend , Diego, who is 2 weeks older than him. Diego's Mom is also Romanian, living in the same town of Campione d'Italia, and best friend of my DD's. They are visiting everyday, especially when it's cold outside. These are from Diego's apartment.      This is when they were out for a walk.    |

| Hey, Kathy! I hope so, it'll be fun to have such old friends from childhood! My son has such old friends from our old neighborhood. The good news is that one tooth is showing up!  We have a tooth!!!! Only poor baby has been running a fever all day long and his Mom is desperate and calling every hour to ask me what else to do and what is going on. The fever went down for a few hours, but she said it started to go up again...not so up though as before. |

| Those are such cute pictures and I am glad to hear that Andreea has a friend with a child there to do things with! The kids will definitely be close friends if they stay together while growing up. That is cool. I knew he was getting a tooth! the last few pictures he was chewing on everything. the fever might be from teething? Talk with people around the world. | Adina - I agree with Connie. The fever may be caused from the tooth cutting through the gums. My granddaughter has both bottom teeth. She was miserable when they were coming through and ran a low grade fever. She, too, is chewing on everything like a little puppy dog! And drooling so much that her parents keep a bib on her most of the time to soak up the endless drool. LOL! Another Day in Paradise! |

| I talked to Andreea today and Nicholas also has a cold. He is coughing and his nose shows something too. She has spoken to the doctor and started a treatment. We'll see how that goes. |

| I think when kids are teething, their resistance is at a low, so it's easier to catch things going around. Hope he feels better soon. I hate watching babies suffer. They don't know that they will get better! |

| Becky, thanks. I remember how good it felt when my Mom took my daughter overnight. Connie, no new news yet till the next Dr. appt. I think she's mainly tired. Adina, Nicholas has a nice playpen! Becky, I hear your rant and feel your fury! I would be livid too! People are always expendeble and I hate it that the bosses forget we're all human beings. Rules are written and they follow them so they don't get in trouble. I'm sure glad things were fine in the end. Women are tough, but they don't have to be treated that way! Adina, good idea, changing the thread! He is really going to have a head of hair for his first haircut. Will Andreea follow custom and get it cut when he's two? He's really a big boy now, learning to walk already! I love it that he has a friend his age, just like his Mama! The pictures of them together are really cute! They are going to be lifelong friends and that is so cool! We will have a tooth! I wonder if the cold is caused by the tooth? It's so hard on little ones to have the stuffy or runny noses :o( I hope the treatment gets him thru it. A small town has no secrets except itself |

| Adina - Glad to hear that Nicholas is much better. I hate it when the babies get sick ... they can't tell you what's wrong and you have to be careful what medication they are given. Another Day in Paradise! |

| Adina, I'm glad he's better! I hated it when DD was sick and couldn't breath. Then there's the fight of the Kleenex! They find a way to twist so it's all over their face instead of in the Kleenex, yuck! I'm glad she will follow tradition. He will have so much hair by then! He's going to be adorable! Becky, now they don't want you to give them anything. Sometimes you just have to use your own judgement if they are miserable, can't sleep or breath. Well, DD is dropping the boys off today so it will be a busy two days for me. I told her to bring a sackful of books and we'll read! I have a few books, but since they are able to order from school now, I give her money and she has all the books. I still love to read those books and was so lucky that I was allowed seven to nine books long ago when money was tight. I read all of them! A small town has no secrets except itself |

| I was lucky when I had the kids, I had an aunt who was a pediatrician and I always asked her what to do when the kids were sick. Still I had to go to our doctor too for a recipe or for an examination. I hated those hours of waiting with the sick kids! Now Andreea has some suppositories for fever and cold and other for coughing and just calls the doctor if it's not anything too bad. Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you the news : Nicholas has another tooth! That's 2!  |

| Becky, already several teeth! Thats' great, she can chew! Andreea is giving him powder milk now because she doesn't have too much of her own, especially in the morning. He seems to like it. I talked to them last night through the webcam and I could hear them too! Nicholas was standing still when he heard my voice!  This means he didn't forget me ! |

Adina - How could he forget his favorite grandma!!!  Love technology for those reasons!I had fun today ... spent the entire day at my son and DIL's to babysit my granddaughter! She is sooooo cute! We had a great time! She was fussy off and on throughout the day. Seems she is getting up again several times a night. Her daddy and mommy are so worn out from lack of sleep. They moved and my DIL's parents left so there have been a lot of changes recently. She is also cutting her top front teeth, so she's probably miserable at times. But we had a granny and granddaughter day and had a lot of fun! I tried to wear her out so she would sleep all night tonight! Another Day in Paradise! |
