Vicki, you have enough to do on your days off! I'm at the office now and try to catch up here. I'm happy that my Mom has started to walk alone, sticking to the walls and furniture. She did that twice yesterday, after waiting for someone to come and take her to the bathroom...poor thing! We had to go to the store for some groceries and got home a bit later and Ionut came with us too, right after work. He likes the new job, but had an accident today : something fell on his foot...luckily it isn't broken! Sad
Here are some pics from my garden if you want to see :

Thanks for the new thread. We didn't skip August, we just had 2 Julys.

I picked the first green beans today! Everything is so late this year, I hope the corn produces something before frost comes. A few tomatoes have ripened but most of them are still green.

Nice pictures, Adina. Hoooray for your mom walking on her own. I only remember my grandmother walking like that, from one piece of furniture to another, to a doorway, to another piece of furniture. She would not use a cane although it would have made her life so much easier.

I am here and it is raining! Not thrilled about that weather but it is better than snow!

Adina so glad your mom is walking ! What a relief for you to know you can leave her alone for a bit. I bet a bigger one for cici! Hope Ionut is back to work and My Dear you also do to much work on your days off. Let alone the days you work.

Today is DH's Bday. He is working on his dad's jeep so I will bake him his favorite cake. Chocolate with peanut butter frosting. Anyone want a piece?

Good morning and glad to see everyone has found us in September! Thanks Adina, and glad your mom is doing better, bet Cici is too! Thumbs up
I hope Ionut's foot heals quickly and this job will last for awhile. Will he stay at your mom's place or come to yours every night?
I hope you get a little rest soon, your need it! I will look at your pictures this afternoon, can't wait to see them, they are always so pretty. When will you get to see Andreea and Nicholas again? You might have told us but I forgot!

Hey herbie, are you with Ava now or is she with you? What have you been up to lately, you have been rather quiet! How is the knee doing?

Mary, wonder why your garden is late this year? Was the weather later warming up than usual? I know you really love your fresh produce and having enough to put away for the winter. Hope you get lots of stuff soon.

ves, Happy Birthday to your hubby, sounds like an interesting way to spend it! Oh, I will have a piece of that cake to help y'all celebrate. Did you get lots of goodies from your garden this year? Enjoy your rainy day off!

Sarge, glad the trip was a success and you all had lots of fun, also got out of NO before Lee arrived to stay for awhile. That would have made it interesting! I know that feeling of
good to be home and back to normal. How is your garden this year?

Ivy, are you upgrading your computer yourself? Good luck getting every thing working correctly so you will be able to join us here! Hurray!

Warm weather just took forever to get here this year. Colder than normal, wetter than normal, soil stayed cold, so I planted late and still had to protect things from late frosts. Fall will be here way too soon, we are already having nights in the upper 30's. That part is normal but it slows things down that need more time to ripen (winter squash and tomatoes) or produce anything (corn). We should have been eating corn already. I do have carrots, beets, chard, summer squash, and now the beans. Yesterday we put plastic netting over the grapes to keep the deer from harvesting the crop. They are pests!

Good afternoon all .So g lad to see everyone so busy.
Weeds, I bought the software and igured that someone else should put it in for me. I may try to do it myself next time since I read the directions when the sealed box was opened. I am learning the new things that I can do on the computer. Very interesting to shake a window that is open then the other open windows minimize to the task bar.
The Aero Peek lets you see behind transparent open windows plus some touch friendly stuff that I never experienced before. For example you can zoom in and out, right click tapping the screen and open with a finger, hover over the icons that was clicked on and see thumbnail previews of open windows etc. Feels like I will be learning something new for thte next few weeks.

Mary, hope you get some things to ripen before the end of the season! Does the netting really keep the deer away? I don't have deer here so am not familiar with the trials an tribulations of dealing with them.

Ivy, I have windows 7 but never explored all those possibilities....I might have to dig into to that and now that you watched you have learned so you can do stuff yourself.

herbie, she is getting just too cute and well dressed. How many dresses does that child have? Lord help you if get quite a few more grand children!

We had the tail end of the storm today so was without power for a few hours, not too bad, just hot as hades!

Mary, wish that we were neighbors, I would be competing with those pesky deer for the produce. At least I could be your watchperson and eating for one, you would have so much more left.
Weeds, I never thought that these features were included. It may be because the software is updated and did not come with the computer?.
Herbie, your granddaughter is sure growing. I know that she brings sunshine into your life. Love the photos.

We have more rain coming for a few days. yech.

mary - i know all about deer problems. they are the main reason why i went to container gardening.

weeds - while shopping yesteday deb picked up four more outfits for her. on our last trip to visit we brought most of the birthday presents with us so they can put them in their house as we are gong up with frank and josephine in his car for her birthday and there would be not enought room for us andthe gifts. i don't want to ay my wife is obsessed with ava but she ordered wrappng paper with ava's picture on it. we have some left and i will take a picture and show you. it's really cute.

thanks for all our kind words about ava.
