| I am so technically challenged and hope someone can help. I've had my Macbook Pro and Canon PowerShot SX IS camera for a couple of years with no problems. All of a sudden about a week ago I can't seem to get my photo's to download from the camera to the laptop. I thought it was the USB cable (I think that's what it's called, the cable that plugs into the camera at one end and the laptop at the other) so I purchased a new cable and it still doesn't work. It used to be when I plugged it in and turned the camera on, a screen called "Image Capture" would immediately show up and then I'd just click on "Import All" and it would download all of the photo's. Now nothing happens when I turn the camera on. So, I went to my dock and clicked on the Image Capture Icon to bring it up but it still doesn't download the photo's. I looked at the camera user guide and it states: "If Image Capture Does Not Open": 1. Connect Camera to laptop & turn camera on. 2. Select the camera in the "Devices" list at left. This is where my problem seems to be! I see "Devices" on the left of my screen but there are no devices listed! I think I must have done something when playing around with settings and maybe deleted it by mistake. Suggestions are greatly appreciated ... I really, really miss being able to download my photo's! Thanks so much, Lin |

| I see you have not gotten any help. I don't think we have too many Mac users here. Did you find a solution to your problem? If you did, perhaps you can share so that others may benefit from your learning. |
