| A while back it was suggested to me that I might write about the beginning of the SOTH. In order to do so I need all of you to help. I need information about our quilts...when we began, first quilt to now, where they went, who got them, and any pictures of the finished quilt. Also need info about our label...how we found it and a good picture of it. Also need you all to think of a MISSION STATEMENT for us to use. I know this project will take some time and that is ok...please send all your ideas, information, pictures and statements to my C-Mail. Label it "A Story about SOTH" Thank you LaVonne http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |

| I am gathering information about SOTH to put into an article and now I need a time line so am asking for help. When did we do our first charity quilt? What about the succeeding quilts? Who did they go to? Did we get any pictures or a story about the forever home of the quilts? This is what I need filled in: Quilt #2 Jan 2, 2011 Spring Quilt Project began by discussion Quilt #3 was Sisters of the Heart - March Madness Charity Quilt planning and discussions. Any help any of you can give would be greatly appreciated. | Thanks Susan that is a big help. These last 2 weeks have been sorry ones for me...DD says I have a case of allergies...Dr. says it is a bug going around...all I know is that my sinuses are plugging up then draining like crazy...my throat is catching all that crap and is sore as heck from insensate coughing until I gag and spitting up wads of phlegm...to make it even "nicer" I have lost my voice...don't get but about 2 hours of sleep a night despite the meds I take...Sorry I am complaining but it just hit me to unload...no one needs to share my misery...esp. You... Take care and peace be with you http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |

| ((((((((((((Dorothy)))))))))))) As I told my pastor today, we ALL have our crosses to bear, and they're ALL valid. Yours right now is your health....... I so hope & pray you get relief soon. Not getting sleep means you're not getting the rest you need to heal. Have you ever used the Neti Pot? It's a sinus rinse and I know it helps me - sinuses are all through your head, and when they're plugging/draining it's No Fun!! Tonight is a Power Prayer night that Jaye started, and I will be saying prayers for your health (9pm our time - whatever that may be, with the time zones |

| am using the Neti Pot and it is loosening things...except when I fall asleep from exhaustion and then come awake when I can't breathe. http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |

| Thank you Magga. My SOTH are so busy with projects I just wish I could get to a place that I could do one...I started a cup/mug block quilt and only managed to get 4 done. Charley's Mom, bless her heart, send me one of charley and in time that will be the focal point of my quilt. http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |

| Would you like a Canadian block, Dorothy? I did some for the RWB block swap and I have extra - I'm going to put my Canadian one in the center, surrounded by all my American friends' blocks. BTW - don't send me a block, cuz I have lots and I will make one on your behalf. IF you were to make a RWB block, what would it look like? I have lots of fabric (thank you, o my fabric stash!!) and can do it. So search out a pattern and I'll make it for my quilt 'of all my sistahs' and if you'll scan your signature, I'll iron-on transfer it to the block. You mean a lot to me, Dorothy, and I'd love to have your "input" on my quilt. It's for 12" (12 1/2" unfinished) blocks. Here's where they have "blocks by size" http://www.quilterscache.com/BlocksbySizeC.html |
| I have still not put away the fabrics I used for the cup blocks because I was going to make some more to send to a few more sisters and I like you to be one of them. So Dorothy, please wait for my cup to join Charley and the cups you have made, - who knows what will be in it ? Cheeeeers!!! Magga |
| Magga, that's lovely - I know it will find a place among Dorothy's other cups |
| Susan if I were to make a block for a RWB block I believe it would look like this... http://www.quilterscache.com/B/BoxQuiltBlock.html http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |

| Ok - easy said, easy done. Now, we've been personalizing them with something like Dorothy Mitchell Sisters of the Heart 2012 Would you please write that down, and email it to me (so I have your signature) and I'll do an Iron-on transfer to the block. I'll post it to this c-mail when I'm done so you can see it as a finished block, k? I'll c-mail you my email address. |
