Yes, welcome Auntie Sharon. Admire Barb and Charleen (and Charley) generosity, as Sistah says!
Waiting eagerly to learn about the dimensions and details of my block! I think I have plenty of fabric to create something nice. I'll be piecing my block.

Welcome Sharon!!!
It's so nice to meet you. We really love your niece you know!!!! Are you a quilter? I know, I'm nosy. We are really happy to have you here......
Name: Charleen Barnesville, Ga. Zone 7b-8 Walk in Peace / I'm Charley's Mom.
Charley wants to help the horses.
He got his feet trimmed and his beautiful tail detangled. Oh, and a new haircut. Nests for the birds will be very soft around here.
My grandson Brandon just left here. He told me he would gladly fly out to this ranch and shovel stalls. He loves horses so much!!!
I have 12 blocks all pieced from a BOM I did a couple years ago. I'm sure I can find backing for these since they dont all have to be the same. I want to make sure I understand what you want. I take a 12"square of batting between a 12.5" square and a 16" piece of backing and quilt them together. Then I join the squares???
Batting is the same size as the front, if your doing it the fun and done way Barb. Backing should be two inches larger on all sides, so you can fold it over and make your binding. So if your blocks are 12&1/2" your back fabric should be 16&1/2". Make one as a practice piece, and you will get the feel of it. Some make the batting a bit bigger, so the backing will not cover too much of the quilt block, some make thier back piece a bit smaller. It all depends on how big you like your binding.

Correct, it can be an appliqued block with a horse image, or it can be a block of your choice, in earth tone colors. Or it can be a pieced block, with a horse applique. Choice is yours. Make sure it finishes at 12&1/2 inches please?

I guess I need to make some 'horse sense' outta this here quilting party we have going on.
Charleen is making a baby pony quilt for Anjl to raffle? Are you doing the whole thing Charleen or just the top?
Barb is putting together a BOM quilt using the Fun and Done method for Anjl? Is that right Barb? You have backing and batting?
And the rest of us are waiting for Anjl to find a quilt shop that will take our squares and put them together? When she does then we'll make 121/2" squares of horses using earth tones.
I need some help from the LongEars on this one. If this isn't right and I'm supposed to be sending a block to someone please let me know.
I have the same thoughts as Sherri.
Before I create my block I want to be sure we have a commitment to have it assembled and quilted for the Raffle or Auction. Also, wondering how the horses are doing?

Yep, got the backing and batting I'm sending too. It is the little checked Blue and pink fabric that I showed earlier only I made it crib size, I think. Just got to find a box for it.
Yep. that is Right, What you said Sherri. Anjl is getting someone to put the blocks together and quilt...
Hi all! and YES! you might say that my aunt does a little quilting...every day all day if I know her! I can only hope and pray to develop a teeny portion of her skill and artistic ability Sure wish she lived closer so I can get hands on lessons though! With both her and my mom living so far away, I am left mucking through internet directions on my own
I Wont get to the quilt shop until monday. As soon as I do I will let you all know what comes of it. In speaking with people locally though it sounds like something the quilters up here will jump into with both feet. It really just depends on what other projects they are all working on right now.
I that link to the horse quilt! That is absolutely beautiful!!!!
