Sherri my 3 blocks will be out in the mail today. And I have written a letter to Theresa and Barry and sent it to your c-mail. I don't have a printer so hope you will print it off and add it to others you send.
WOW!! My mailbox was full of the most beautiful quilt blocks.
Kathy's is, as always, elegant, perfect and will look fantastic with the yellow sashing.
LaVonne sent three blocks, all were traditional patterns, beautifully made with wonderful colors.
Jaye's was so inspiring and patriotic! I know Barry will love it. The eagle in the middle!
Thank you all so much! I guess you know what I will be doing this weekend and next.
I have lots of beautifully pieced blocks. I need suggestions as to the best way to quilt them. Think I should go in the ditch, a pattern on top??? What?? I am doing some meandering on the appliquéd ones but I'm not sure it's the best for the pieced ones. I'm open to suggestions!!! How would you quilt your block?
That's my first inclination. Thanks! Just wanted to see what others have done with their quilts. I've never quilted a pieced quilt except in the ditch. Just wanted to be open to alternatives. I know stencils would be the next thing and the only other alternative I know.

Bob is making me a frame holder (4 corner holders) for me, and when it's done I have the rails I attach the quilt to (then roll it to each area). I'm thinking perhaps the 4 corner holders my sister Alice has uses a frame, not rails...
Thanks. I may have to try the wrap. I've made my own stencils and used the pounce method. I used a soldering iron instead of a double edged knife. worked well! Took a long time.
I've been drooling over our local longarm-stress, Jessica. I thought this was a great quilting treatment. Interesting, no need for symmetry, mistakes can be hidden. I might use it for a Japanese block top I made awhile back. I think it can be done on a home-type machine. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jessicasquiltingstudio/57945354...
