Anyhoo, here is the quilt top. For the last row I sewed on I started sewing in the middle of the row and worked out to the left ... then started again in the middle and worked out to the right side. Much more forgiving re poor measuring Big Grin It think it's about 36 x 42 ish. Sun is behind the quilt so it's slightly washed out looking. Think I'll use a bright yellow binding.

very pretty Susie
I am working on a quilt made from charm squares, I participated in a few charm square (5") swaps.
this part shows blue butterflies sashing, I am doing some rows in blue, then same fabric design with green background for a few rows, then again same butterflies, with purple.
I asked for pinks, greens, purples, and anything with butterflies.
thunder, I LIKE the pattern sashing against the texture ... colors are, wait, let me get my sunglasses... oh yea... very coooool.

Linda, what a good idea to start this thread, I´m sure we are going to make it so colorful and beautiful, and it is already. Susy, what a nice quilt top you have there, I have never seen anything like it, and I love the beautiful green spring colors. Thunder I love your quilt top also, beautiful colors, and want to see more of it.
Susie, you did a great job on that Chevron quilt... Looks like a complicated pattern, but you conquered it!
Thunder, love the Bright colors and Butterflies--- can't wait to see the whole thing!
wow! our neighborhood garage sales started today and since I took the day off I walked around. Onlu found two close by but the first one had a bunch of sewing stuff. It ended up filling a black garbage bag. Full of threads, bobbins, buttons, ric rac, fusible webbing. and patterns even a pattern book from the early 70's lol There are some feet but not sure if they are interchangeable with my machine will have to check. Some of it looks like older stuff and some newer. I figured for $10 I wouldnt argue
Oooooh I can see lots of cool, creative projects coming from Misti! Great Score!!
Thanks, all who've commented on my Chevron quilt. Here is the link to original creator. It's a cool blog. I made mine a little smaller because I had the backing already cut. Also, as I mentioned on another thread, I pinned all of the squares in pattern on a cardboard dressmaker cutting board. It's too easy to screw up. I sewed the horizontal rows then sewed each row to the quilt as I finished them. If you wait to sew all the rows then piece them together you'll never figure out the right pattern. http://youhadmeatbonjourblog.blogspot.com/2012/03/tutorial-m...

When I was reading Susan´s RR thread I suddenly remembered that some years ago I joined a Round Robin here. I think there were 20 of us, so we had 4 groups, 5 in each. I appliqued a tree with heart shaped leaves as a center block for the quilt, and the other 4 each made the borders. I was quite happy with the quilt top when I received it.. . .
