| O sigh I'm sure I broke something cuz this is how my posts with pics are displaying now. Is there something I've done wrong? I tried 3 posts and the text is either divided or at the bottom of the pic. Also the icons for attaching are jiggling at the bottom of the screen in my draft. Very 60s! http://cubits.org/negarden/thread/view_post/331990/ http://cubits.org/DahlianutsDictionary/ Share the Joy |

| Your link takes me to my home page dahlia? |
| Well how funky weird is that valleylynn cuz it takes me to my dahlia pic with the text at the bottom. hmmm. Maybe there's been a solitary shift in my matrix sigh. Also fabby owner/admin peoples with super powers: everyone else seems to be makin the new pic thing work. I'll just befuddle around for a bit. It is SO probable that I'm doing it wrong http://cubits.org/DahlianutsDictionary/ Share the Joy |

| I think I'm having the same problem - "splitting/dividing" the last line of text? Found that when I'm previewing the image I just posted if I hit "return/enter" at the end of the text that it will drop the [lightbox] info down to the next line and avoid this problem. Not sure if it's something Dave can fix or not but for now this resolves the problem for me. |
| Just add an empty line between what you want to say and the first light box Here the photos will be right under each other Example of what you would see when you have uploaded and are previewing two pictures: [ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/6b567d [ /lightbox] [ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/5990e1[ /lightbox] And this is the way it would look: ![]() ![]() Now this is what you probably did; you let the lighbox be on the same line as what you wanted to type.[ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/6134c5[ /lightbox] And this is the way it looks when you preview it. Now this is what you probably did; you let the lighbox be on the same line as what you wanted to type. That way it wraps the words around the picture. ![]() It also moves the picture into a different slot when you do it that way |
| Let's say you want the pictures in a row; You keep clicking on Add another photo until it puts up three; They will be in a row under each other like this: [ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/b21abd[ /lightbox] [ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/566e54[ /lightbox] [ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/11af6b[ /lightbox] So butt them up against each other like this and the pictures will stay on the same line. [ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/b21abd[ /lightbox][ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/566e54[ /lightbox][ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/11af6b[ /lightbox] It will then look like this ![]() ![]() ![]() But now would you like those pictures centered? If so, you have to add the BB code for centering. [ center][ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/b21abd[ /lightbox][ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/566e54[ /lightbox][ lightbox]2010-07-27/TwinLakesChef/11af6b[ /lightbox][/center] ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| I think these are the posts Dahlia is referring to http://cubits.org/liliesforum/thread/view_post/332269/ and I found this thread... http://cubits.org/Dahlias/thread/view/29798/ Arlene - since Dahlia made these posts after Dave made it easier to add more than one photo to a post - I am thinking she didn't use the BB code for lightboxes, but instead was trying to use Dave's new photo uploading method. I have not tried the new method yet, so can't help, but thought I'd track down Dahlia's last posts and see if that helps solve this. Dahlianut --- I love the idea of you having a cubit!!! Sign me up! | I had the same thing happen when the new multiple pic uploading system started. As Arlene said, before uploading a pic make it as another paragraph, or if it happens to end up butted up to your text then all you need to do is put your flashing indicator at the start of the lightbox link and hit 'enter' to move it down away from the text. After the pics have uploaded it's quick to 'preview' as the pics are aleady loaded so you can see how it will look and make changes if necessary. |
| Jules, you'll see when you try it that his new method puts the BB code in with the lightbox automatically. All she needs to do is go in and edit every post and put an empty line between the code that Uploading an image already put in and what she wants to say. That fixes the alignment challenge. |
| OK! so, the old way of multiple photos you had to have the photo in a cmail or somewhere already in Cubits. Is the new way made so it does lightbox, but you don't have to have the image in your cmail etc? I will have to try it later when I have the time. | Dave makes it so easy to have a cubit, you'd stumble along and learn a new thing just like we all did. It's always good to learn new things. Exercise that brain muscle and keep it strong Just pick something you are passionate about and you'll have no problem coming up with what to put in there. I hope someday when my children get a little more interested in cooking they'll appreciate what we've done in Yum. That fish market is in Des Moines, Iowa. It is also a restaurant. We ate there last week-end. I got to taste grouper for the first time. Their fish is flown in daily. |

| Many of us started out with absolutely no knowledge of how to do all these new computer thingyes. Arlene is right, brain exercise is very good for us. Not only is it fun doing all the new things we learn, but it teaches us patience. I have a lot of that now. Arlene, trust me, there will come a time when your children will look at what you have done and be absolutely amazed at the bright, intelligent and creative mom they have. Get ready. |
